Profile
Jie Liu is a PhD candidate in Marine Biology in the University of Bergen and research assistant at NIVA Oceanography Section. Her main research emphasis is on integrating physical and biogeochemical model data to characterize how projected climate-driven changes are expected to impact on biologically-relevant processes and physiological tolerance thresholds of important coastal species, such as algae, urchin, kelp, fish etc. She is now project member of two EU projects. One is FutureMARES (Climate Change and Future Marine Ecosystem Services and Biodiversity), funded by EU's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The other one is CE2COAST (Downscaling Climate and Ocean Change to Services: Thresholds and Opportunities), funded by The Joint Programming initiative of “Connecting Climate Knowledge for Europe” (JPI Climate) and "Healthy and Productive Seas and Oceans" (JPI Oceans)
