NIVA has monitored pH, alkalinity and inorganic carbon seasonally since 2010 through the monitoring programs “Tilførselsovervåkningen” and “Havforsuringsovervåkingen” (2012-2016) funded by the Norwegian Environment Agency. The results show highly variable pH from winter to summer.
