The section offers a full range of services to test ballast water treatment systems to meet IMO specifications.

 

Pilot/laboratory testing

Small scale, pilot scale and laboratory testing for system evaluation and development, basic approval, applications and verification of performance prior to full-scale testing.

Pilot or laboratory scale testing carried out according to clients needs and requirements.
 

Full scale testing

Full scale land-based testing of treatment technologies in accordance with IMO guidelines (G8/G9).

Full scale land testing can be carried out in the course of a period of 2-3 months. Processing and reporting are completed within the following 1-2 months.

Shipboard test design by mutual agreement. Typically, we are consulted at an early stage to advise on important logistical and technical issues that are essential for easy and successfull shipboard testing.

Team

The testing of treatment technologies for ballast water is conducted by a highly qualified staff
with extensive expertise ensuring the highest quality results, professional integrity and confidentiality.

We have 5 years of experience with R&D and procedures for testing treatment technologies for ballast water, and are world leaders in having completed full scale land based testing for 11 different vendors and shipboard testing for 5 vendor.

We have experience in running all required tests as proven by the PureBallast certification. We have Comprehensive Quality Management Plan (QMP) and Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) conforming to IMO requirements.

We work in a close cooperation with certification agencies and regulators, have all the necessary facilities and equipment in order to conduct all required tests (infrastructure, certified chemical laboratories, biological analysis, and ecotoxicological analysis).
