Claudia's professional career started in science and applied research and led through various stages to the field of international science management. From 2017 until 2022 she was a member of the management of the European Topic Centre Inland, Coastal and Marine Waters (ETC ICM) which was led by the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ). Before, she worked as a research scientist at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg in the field of Education, Vocation and Media and as project and research manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF. At Fraunhofer, her work focussed on the topic 'Mass Customization'. Among different interdisciplinary topics, she's focussed on system theory and system thinking during her studies which supports her working for the European Topic Centre Biodiversity and Ecosystems (ETC BE): The system is something beside, and not the same, as its elements. With this underlying notion she is working as Administrative Manager for the Topic Centre that is led by NIVA. With a high level of commitment, team spirit, organizational skills, and goal-oriented work she's supporting Thorjørn Larssen as Head of the ETC BE and all 24 topic centre partners.
