The main key qualifications of Pierre Jaccard are field investigations, environmental monitoring, sensor technologies, data processing and quality assessment techniques.He has been leading Ferrybox infrastructure developments and improvements since he began at NIVA in 2007. He is also involved in ocean optics and biogeochemical measurements and technologies, either through sensor development, in situ field operations or ships of opportunity. Through EU projects MyOcean(s), CMEMS, JERICO(s), HighROC, NautilOS or ESA funded activities like MVT, S3VT and VAMP, Pierre Jaccard has developed many tools for the analysis, management and quality control of data from biogeochemical and optical instruments. He also participates in the development of an eDNA sampler, flow through pCO2 and pH sensors, as well as integration of automated PSICAM and Imaging Flow Cyto Bot. He is responsible for the development, technical installations as well as real-time data flow and quality assessement of Ferrybox systems.
