Summary
Environmental investigations were performed in Lurefjorden to evaluate the impact of the discharges from the waste disposal site NGIR in Kjevikdalen. The investigations were focused on heavy metals and organic pollutants in sediment and biota and describe the environmental conditions in the recipient comparing with results from previous investigations. Low oxygen concentrations were measured in the deep waters in Seimsfjorden and Lurefjorden and this has to be verified through new investigations.
