Kick-off meeting for SINOPLAST project

The Sino Norwegian Cooperation Project to Reduce Plastic and Microplastic Pollution (SINOPLAST) was officially kicked off May 20th in the form of an online conference.

The project will run for three years and aims to improve the Chinese capacity to control marine litter and microplastic pollution. The project is led by Norwegian Institute for Water Research and Basel Convention Center for Asia and Pacific in China.

Other partners include Norwegian Environment Agency, East China Normal University, National Marine Environmental Monitoring Center of Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China, Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Center of Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China. 

The project is funded by Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
