Summary

In 2018, the sampling scheme of ØKOKYST subprogram Nordsjøen Nord included 8 pelagic stations, 6 hard bottom stations, and 5 soft bottom stations. Of these, 2 pelagic, 2 hard bottom and 1 softbottom stations were from the optional sampling scheme. Of the 12 water bodies in this subprogram, 11 were sampled in 2018. The overall condition ranged from "Poor" to "Very good" state. Maurangsfjorden obtained overall state "Poor". Here the biological quality element macroalgae reduced the overall state. Aurlandsfjorden obtained the overall state “Moderate” and here the biological quality element Chlorophyll a reduced the overall state. Of the remaining water bodies 4 were given overall state “Very good” and 5 were given overall state "Good".
