Maren Helene Sævold is an economist working as a research assistant in NIVAs section for Water and Society. She is involved in several EU Horizon-projects focused on marine and coastal governance. Maren holds a masters degree in Applied Economics and Sustainability from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Her masters thesis mapped the spatial conflict between fish farming and marine protected areas in Norway, including describing the nuances and tradeoff for the fish farms located inside of marine protected areas.
