Marit Falstad has a master's degree in food science from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and a bachelor's degree in food technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, former HiST). Before starting at NIVA she has over 13 years of experience with laboratory work including chemical, microbiological and sensory analysis and has former work experience from the dairy, wine and liquor business.
