PlasticTreaty
The overall goal of the project is to help ensure that the new international treaty to combat plastic pollution is effective and that it takes into account the needs and circumstances of developing countries and economies in transition. Among other things, the project supports an independent coalition of scientists working to ensure that the agreement is based on independent, up-to-date research.
Water and society
The Water and Society section engages in research on the interactions between people and nature, and how different values and knowledge can be better integrated in environmental policy, regulation and management. Understanding these interactions is essential for relevant, inclusive and holistic water and environmental governance.
RefLab: Tools for reflexive practice in environmental citizen science

Invest4Nature
Invest4Nature (I4N) is an EU-funded Research and Innovation project that contributes to the development of a nature-based solutions (NBS) market.
SPARE: Space for resilience - How do we plan for stormwater, biodiversity and recreation to increase urban resilience?
In SPARE we research how cities can increase their resilience by better planning for and implementation of more blue-green infrastructure to handle stormwater, foster biodiversity and increase public health by providing natural outdoor opportunities for recreation.
Marica
MARICA carries out the first systematic, multi-scale assessment of spatial patterns and drivers of marine resource conflicts across sub-Saharan Africa and in 3 focal case studies in Ghana, Kenya and South Africa.

The overarching aim of KnowledgeScapes is to explore and improve participatory methods that contribute to knowledge exchange and knowledge-based land and sea-use management.
USAGE
MULTISOURCE
MULTISOURCE is an EU-funded project that will facilitate the systematic, city-wide planning of nature-based solutions for urban water treatment, storage, and reuse. Through seven technical pilots across Europe and USA, a wide range of urban waters will be treated throughout the project, while decision support tools will be co-designed together with local, national, and international stakeholders. NIVA and the City of Oslo together with 18 other partners are working on the treatment and reuse of urban stormwater using nature-based treatment solutions. The Norwegian pilot treats road runoff from Tåsenveien.
MERLIN
MERLIN is an EU-funded Innovation project implementing nature-based solutions to help deliver the environmental, societal and economic goals of the European Green Deal.
