We provide instrumentation, equipment and research facilities that cover NIVA's researchers' needs in their projects. We develop or provide different types of sensors and equipment, alone or assembled in larger rigs. We also have rental of instruments, various equipment, boats and cars. Our operations technicians and instrument engineers take care of NIVA's equipment and instrument park, pack and build solutions for the researchers.
The section's area of responsibility includes NIVA's research station at Solbergstrand, which houses a number of facilities for research in aquaculture and ecosystems both marine and freshwater. The station also provides space for customers to test their technology, like various water purification technologies. We facilitate and cultivate aquaculture experiments and contribute to quality implementation of a number of other types of experiments.
