Eli Rinde has been employed as a researcher at Norwegian Institute for Water Research since 2004, and is working at Section of Marine Biology. She has extensive competence in marine ecology and special expertise in ecological modelling, sea grass- and kelp forest ecology and dispersal dynamics of marine invasive species. She has a Dr. degree in kelp forest ecology and 25 years of experience in ecological studies. These include habitat mapping, sampling by diving, determination of species of flora and fauna, statistical analysis and modelling (e.g. distribution models of key species and habitats). Dissemination of knowledge includes 21 scientific papers, 65 scientific reports, and over 100 presentations at conferences and meetings.
