Through citizen science, society is engaged and can actively participate in research, providing a unique opportunity to discover and understand the world around us in a more interactive and inclusive way. By collecting data and sharing knowledge, citizen science enriches science and lays the foundation for innovative solutions to societal challenges.

ECSA

NIVA is a member of the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA).

The main goals of ECSA are to increase the democratisation of science, encourage the growth of citizen science in Europe, and support the participation of the general public in research processes ⎯ across the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and the arts.
