Dr. Evgeniy Yakushev is a Senior Researcher with 30 years experience in chemical oceanography and biogeochemical modeling. His field of activity concerns the implementation of field and modeling techniques to investigate how biogeochemical cycles, chemical and biological processes affect nutrients (e.g. C, N, O, P, S), with particular emphasis on oxygen depletion processes and anoxia in the aquatic environment. He has headed and participated in national and international projects related to the World Ocean, the Arctic, the Black Sea, the Azov Sea and the Baltic Sea (FP6, FP7, H2020, Norwegian Research Council, Russian Foundation for Basic Researches and others). He has published 2 books, more than 100 scientific papers and proceedings.
